FAQ
Direct answers about NewCo Home, our process, and the projects we deliver across Utah.
Are black windows still in style in Utah?
Yes. Black aluminum-clad windows are the dominant exterior finish across new Utah custom homes and modern remodels in 2026, especially in Alpine, Highland, Draper, Lehi, Park City, and Heber. Bronze is the warmer alternative for mountain rustic and cedar-heavy elevations.
What is a multi-slide door and where should it go?
Multi-slide doors are three- or four-panel sliding glass walls that pocket or stack to fully open a wall to outdoor living. The standard Utah placement is between the great room and a covered patio with a fireplace. Eight to ten feet tall is the current new-build standard.
Fiberglass vs. iron front door?
Fiberglass is the right value choice: insulated, low-maintenance, available in wood-grain or smooth paint, and warrantied for Utah's freeze-thaw climate. Iron is a statement entry for luxury custom homes — beautiful, but heavier, less insulating, and 3 to 6x the cost.
Should windows match doors?
The window frame color and the entry door hardware finish should coordinate, but the door itself can contrast. Black windows + stained wood iron-clad door is a common Utah luxury combination.
